Born on November 26, 1952, Lizy Joji Thengummoottil, a graduate in English Literature from St. Treasa’s College, Ernakulam (1970-1973), originally hails from the Mangalapally branch of the Vachaparampil family in Pulincunnoo. Lizy spent over twenty years in Bahrain alongside her husband, Joji Varghese Thengummoottil. Called to eternal peace on June 26, 2023, she had spent the last twenty-five years of her life in Kakkanad, Kochi. During the COVID-19 pandemic, she became an active contributor to her family WhatsApp groups through her writings. She is survived by her husband, Joji; her son, Riz and his family (Anna, Emma, Ian & Nora); and her daughter, Tisha and her family (Geogey & Cicily).
