മെറിലി വെയ്സ്ബോര്ഡ് കാനഡയില് ജനിച്ചു. എഴുത്തുകാരിയും ഡോക്യുമെന്ററി-സിനിമാനിര്മ്മാതാവുമാണ്. he Love of Malabar queen -എന്ന കൃതിക്ക് 2010-ലെ -þse Hilariweston Writers trust Prize, Queebec Writer's Federation Mavis Gallant Prize, Charles Taylor Prize എന്നിവ ലഭിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. . Dogs with jobs, The Valour and the horror, our future Selves; Love, life, sex and aging The strangest Dream തുടങ്ങിയ കൃതികള് രചിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട്. സിനിമാരംഗത്തും എഴുത്തുകാരുടെ കൂട്ടായ്മയിലും സജീവം. ഇപ്പോള് Queebec Writers Federation Workshop Committee- യുടെ കോര്ഡിനേറ്ററാണ്.
